Morgana Hack
Founder of Cherry HolisticHi, I’m Morgana — a medical doctor trained in Germany, bridging modern science and ancestral wisdom, and a facilitator, entrepreneur and nature lover. I needed to heal myself before I could help others. Today, I support women navigating climate anxiety and eco grief. Here you can explore my story — and discover why I founded Cherry Holistic.
Autobiography – Morgana Hack
A short glimpse into my story:
Growing up in rural Bavaria, I learned the foundations of healthy nutrition and herbalism from my mother at an early age. Yet I eventually had to face my own crisis — with my high sensitivity, I was already perceiving the distress of Mother Earth in my youth, during a time when climate change was barely in mainstream media, even though science already knew.
After studying modern medicine in Germany and completing my training in traditional Ayurveda in India, I began to integrate the healing wisdom I had gathered and practiced over decades with my experiences in permaculture and ecovillage design — to heal myself and to heal the land.
Today, I share this knowledge through the Cherry Holistic School for Women: how to heal the inner and outer climate simultaneously, and how to meet the global challenges of climate change and eco-anxiety with resilience and hope.
My background and expertise
Modern Medicine
I hold a medical degree from Philipps-Universität Marburg and have professional experience in general medicine, psychosomatic medicine, trauma therapy approaches and migrant medicine. I am a trained nutritionist with specialised knowledge in the planetary health diet, human microbiome research and food systems. Through ongoing study of climate science and planetary health, I explore how environmental change affects the female body — and how integrative medicine — including scientific approaches to herbal medicine — can meet the challenges of our time.
Five Element Medicine
I received training in classical Ayurveda within the Gurukula tradition (“teacher’s school”) and lived for years in India in Poonthottam Ayurvedasram. For one decade, I ran my own Ayurveda clinic with a focus on women’s health. Alongside this, I trained in folk medicine and herbalism, and in the traditional European medical system of humoral medicine — a written tradition reaching from Hippocrates through Galen and Avicenna to the Unani Tibb still practised in India today. My spiritual practice — rooted in earth-based European traditions and expanded through Vipassana, MBSR, mantra and white tantra — is part of this same journey of working with the whole person. These two ancient traditions share the same underlying pattern-reading intelligence:
the Five Elements of Life.
Regenerative Design
I hold a Permaculture Design Certificate from David Holmgren and EDE (Ecovillage Design Education) and ToT (Training of Trainers) certificates from Gaia Education, and I am on my way to becoming a Certified Gaia Educator. Between 2024 and 2025 I spent a year living and volunteering in ecovillages across the world — a journey that brought the connection between personal health and land health from theory into lived practice. Through this work, I have learned that regenerative culture is not separate from medicine: it is medicine at the scale of the land.
Cherry Holistic
Mission & Vision
Mission
At Cherry Holistic, we help young women living in the age of climate change to make sense of what they are feeling — and what is happening in their bodies. We validate climate anxiety and eco grief as rational responses to a real crisis, not mental failures. In the end, women are empowered with a new climate and body literacy, and a compass that integrates self-healing and meaningful action into one practice.
Vision
Our vision is a sisterhood of empowered women who understand that their grief for the Earth and their body’s struggle are not two separate problems. Because women and land share a constitution, self-healing and land-healing are the same act. We envision a world where women are not left behind by a health system blind to this connection — where global health includes women’s climate health — and where women become health stewards and agents of climate solutions for future generations.
Approach
At Cherry Holistic, we teach through the Five Elements of Life — a 2,500-year-old European medical heritage that reads the qualities of the body and the ecosystem with the same tool. We combine ancestral healing wisdom with modern science, working from the individual constitution outward to the seasons, the land, and the community. This is not a wellness school. It is an agency school: the goal is health literacy as climate literacy, and embodied competence that lasts.
Values
We believe that eco-anxiety is a healthy response to an unhealthy world, and that every woman deserves a health system that takes her seriously. We honour the ancestral healing traditions of Europe and beyond — critically, not uncritically — recovering what was suppressed and applying it to the challenges women face now. We practise solidarity pricing, because this knowledge belongs to everyone, not only to those who can afford it. And we believe that caring for yourself and caring for the Earth are not two separate choices.
